Remember it is November

November is such a month of changes and adjustments for us all.
The leaves finish falling off of the trees in the regions that experience all 4 seasons. We adjust to the colder weather, we dig out our winter jackets, gloves and put snow tires on our vehicles. It is also a time to adjust to seeing darkness sooner at the end of our days. I change up our menu to include more comfort foods that appeal to us on cold and damp days. Today is such a day, and there is a nice little pot of chili on the stove.
Lastly, on the 11th we will pay respect to those who fought for our freedom as it will be Remembrance Day. Today I put my poppy on the lapel of my fall coat.

I know I know and soon it will be gone and I will be fighting tears remembering the Advent wreaths my husband and I made and seeing the holiday season come in, SIGH I go through all of this every year.

@Juliaacv just have to get used to it perhaps I can think of a way this year me and the cats can enjoy the holiday more, I need a new artificial tree so perhaps then they would like to play around it and I would not mind that,

@RasmaSandra You could research on youtube and find some decorations to make that would be cat friendly. Those are very interesting, I love spending time looking at videos like that.

Let's just say it's going to be mid 80's this week. I love Florida we don't really get a fall.

I missed the description for today here though.
It started cold and cloudy but by mid morning it was sunny and that sunshine began to warm things up.
I was just outside without a coat, it is quite a nice day afterall.
This is global warming, we have some days in the forecast for next week that will be much like today.

I really like your picture. Yes, we fall into all the holidays, celebrations and remembrances. I like the comfort foods, but I also find I want to make more goodies as well.

I feel like this month starts out as a bit solemn because I know that I will take down the bright and pretty autumn decorations soon to acknowledge Remembrance Day. I do not regret having to take them down, as I do not want to over shadow the importance of remembering and taking the minute of silence on the 11th. It is a shift time for me, letting go of the treasured autumn decorations and thinking ahead to the Christmas decorations that I will put up in the future.
It is also a time to start spending more time inside due to the weather as well as the early darkness since we fall back tonight.

I saw there were many maple leaves on the ground,maple is mark for Canada.Winter is coming,i also am going to dig out jacket and coats.enjoy your winter goods.

Of course in the US, November is notable for Election day..Veterans Day and our Thanksgiving.
