So, we went to the mountains where I did my shop and went to my favorite grocery outlet. I got a jar of coconut oil which I am almost out of for 2.19. They want 9.00 bucks for it at Food Lion...as if..! A huge bag of imitation crab meat for 3.99.. a six pack of low grade energy drinks for 1.49.. Frozen full size pizza's for 1.99 each...wow! and a large box of cereal for .99 McCafe coffee for 2.99...other things as well of course...Oh yeah, I forgot a Tiramisu for 2.99. Not everything there is a stupendous value, but alot of the things I buy are. Gotta love that place. Have you gotten any good buys lately on food or other things?

That coconut oil is an excellent deal! So is the imitation crab; I love imitation crab. Have you ever tried Reign energy drinks? They don’t have a lot of sugar., and I drank them quite a bit after quitting Coke.

We pay the Tiramisù the same at Aldi and Lidl and I have to say that it's not bad at all and a good size. You got some good deals there.

The apple cider that I just bought was not a cheap item but oh it was tasty. It came from an Oregon farm. It has a label on it saying that due to no preservatives, the cider will not be good after 7 days. I'm glad you found some bargains. That must have been a pretty drive.

Yes, there was some color worth looking at but we have been so dry here..nothing is really that vibrant. I have cider too.

a store around my area lowered their prices on the store brand cereals. I got the generic equivalent of Apple Jacks for $2.99 for quite a big box. It was stale when I opened it, but not bad with milk for that price as i refuse to throw it out! the brand name was about $5. I don't pay that much for cereal. I happened to notice the lowered prices in the sale paper. I have not had any other really good prices that I can think of.

The cereal might be past their sell date, but I haven't had problems with it

@LovesEverybody Yes, I have purchased some cereals from that store that seem to go stale a bit quickly, but others are fine though. It may have been due to me as well. I don't eat cereal as much as I used to especially not during the cooler days. I prefer something warm for brekkie.

@snowy22315 I didn't think of it being past sale day. now that I think of it, it was convenient that all the children's cereals in the store brand went down almost half-price. i will continue eating it though

We shopped yesterday, including a place that sells bulk things as well as distressed things, etc. I always buy sweet potatoes there as they are cheaper than anywhere else and more consistent in size. I am glad you could combine a mystery shop with bargain shopping.
