11/2/24 - Update On My Husband

Spoke with my husband last night. He is still not feeling well; and they worked him really hard in physical therapy - much harder than at the old facility. I asked him if he wanted some pot roast from Bob Evans; but he said he would just eat what they serve him. He really must not be feeling well. 
He keeps saying they are moving him around. I asked if he knew what room he was in; but he doesn't know. I will have to call and find out.

@LindaOHio I can imagine. I wish I had better words of encouragement for you, but it seems like he may be stuck in this situation permanently. I hope not and I hope you can find an alternative. But what else is there except maybe 24/7 in home care?

@porwest Home health care 24/7 will cost a minimum of $18,000 per month. No way..

@Tampa_girl7 That's good. We stopped at one just off the PA turnpike on the way back from 4th of July. We had two turkey dinners for maybe 10 bucks and they were very good. I also bought a cute T shirt in their little store. Try their cinammon pancakes sometime. They are yum!

They should notify you when they change rooms for him. It sounds sad if he does not want pot roast. Physical therapy must have some goals for him, he should have had good work outs months ago then he would not be in the state he is in.

His stomach has been really upset for a couple of days.

@snowy22315 He told the nurses. They did nothing...and they let him sleep through lunch and dinner yesterday. All he had was breakfast.

Oh Linda, we have talked so many times here, but I never opened your this discussion that you keep updating your husband's health on a daily basis. I don't know why and how.
But from what I read just now I feel very sorry. I am sad to read everything. And I am just guessing what the situation might be. Don't worry Linda, my prayer and support and my positive thoughts are always with you and your family! Amen!

That’s right, this time tomorrow it won’t be this time tomorrow. (Offer void in Arizona and Hawaii, where they have the good sense to leave the clocks alone!)
I think he probably wants Biofreeze for his muscles more than the pot roast.

I think if he would have come home in April, he would have been OK; but he fell and had to have that surgery.

I think most of ours are auto. Or I didn't bother with them last year. But, thanks. Usually the first weekend in November.

Just did a post about the clock change, I don't think it is a good idea to work him so very hard, You should talk to that facility, Blessings to you both,

Sounds like he is feeling depressed. I hope he can speak out if he finds the physical therapy too tough.
