When they’re alphabetical they sound strange back to back on occasion. Take the hand-clapper yesterday, and now you have a ballad! We’re at song #60 out of 100, and here it is!
Pieces of April - Three Dog Night
Dave Loggins died this year. That’s germane to this discussion because he wrote this. (Aside: he also co-wrote my favorite Jimmy Buffett song…hasn’t been a good year to be a Buffett fan. )
My brother introduced me to this song, which he said he loved because it reminded him of me because my birthday’s in April. So, in a lot of ways, this song will always remind me of my brother (even though his birthday is in November ).
Of course, it’s a great song, too, so there’s that….

I loved this entire album when I was a teenager. It was my introduction to Randy Newman (one of his songs was on it).
