This morning, Nov. 2 at 7:10am, I heard my first Christmas commercial... and it was repeated about 20 minutes later... and this is on a radio station that plays only 4 minutes of commercial an hour.
Went to Dollarama tonight and three full aisles, both sides, were stocked with Christmas stuff. All I wanted was some potting soil.

I’m pretty sure a lot of radio stations take the time change as a signal to also change to 24/7 Christmas music.

They don't play a lot of Christmas songs on the Jazz station until December.

I am not ready for any Christmas stuff so I am glad that I do all my shopping online, I remember the first Christmas in Florida when I was sad and full of memories and when I walked into a store there was the holiday music overwhelming me,

HSN and QVC have been selling Christmas stuff for a month. They offer Flex-Pay so I can kind of understand that. They are offering 5 monthly payments now. Have a good day.

I don’t mind it. With Thanksgiving celebrated here when it is, Americans only get one month to properly celebrate Christmas. It doesn’t make me skip Thanksgiving, and I don’t put up Christmas decorations until the day after Thanksgiving, but it’s fine with me. Although, I understand the commercialism is much less than desirable.
