They just couldn't wait any longer

This morning, Nov. 2 at 7:10am, I heard my first Christmas commercial... and it was repeated about 20 minutes later... and this is on a radio station that plays only 4 minutes of commercial an hour. Went to Dollarama tonight and three full aisles, both sides, were stocked with Christmas stuff. All I wanted was some potting soil.

Christmas is all but ruined for many folks, why can't big businesses simply wait until after Nov 30 to start with Christmas stuff.

I’m pretty sure a lot of radio stations take the time change as a signal to also change to 24/7 Christmas music.

They don't play a lot of Christmas songs on the Jazz station until December.

I have enough of Christmas starting in November, we need a law to stop this craziness.

Yes. Nobody seems to care about Advent.

@LadyDuck And then they take down their Christmas decorations the day after, not waiting till Epiphany, or Little Christmas as some call it.

I am not ready for any Christmas stuff so I am glad that I do all my shopping online, I remember the first Christmas in Florida when I was sad and full of memories and when I walked into a store there was the holiday music overwhelming me,

HSN and QVC have been selling Christmas stuff for a month. They offer Flex-Pay so I can kind of understand that. They are offering 5 monthly payments now. Have a good day.

Of course they're offering easy payments. They want your money.

@BarBaraPrz Yes, many people get a large bill this way. I always pay up front.

I don’t mind it. With Thanksgiving celebrated here when it is, Americans only get one month to properly celebrate Christmas. It doesn’t make me skip Thanksgiving, and I don’t put up Christmas decorations until the day after Thanksgiving, but it’s fine with me. Although, I understand the commercialism is much less than desirable.
