November 3 of my daily discussion challenge" why i was not her all afternoon yesterday

Good Morning!
I wasn't here all yesterday afternoon and think I got back on about 6 p.m. or later.
I have a lot to say about yesterday so will divide them to different posts.
To begin with my sister and I left my house around 11:50 p.m. because I had my six-month teeth cleaning. I know it was Saturday but my dentist works on Saturday and one or two evenings each week. he is dedicated and the nicest, kindest man in the world
I do have one cavity that is going to be filled in December.
The sweetest lady who cleaned my teeth offered to see if she could answer the page of questions I had for the dentist about the care of my teeth and a problem or two I have. She answered all of them to my happiness.
My dentist was thrilled when we told him that towards the middle of November, I have a consultation with my dentist's friend, who is an orthodontist my dentist recommended I see for a consultation about getting braces
he thought the orthodontist was already putting braces on my teeth. i haven't even had a consultation as it takes months just to get a consultation!
My mouth feels so much fresher!
Even if it is unpleasant, do you still like to get your teeth cleaned because your mouth feels cleaner afterward?

I don’t like going because I grind my teeth (I wear a dentist made mouth piece), and they always comment on that. But I can’t do more than I am doing. Plus, they always make me wait. However, because the price is reasonable I still go to this place. They are very nice though, and they always give you something like a $5 gift card for making you wait.

somehow my dentist schedules patients so we only wait five minutes.
I get a travel-sized toothpaste and a new toothbrush each cleaning. I complained of bad tasting mouth and bad breath and they recommended a mouthwash and gave me a $4 off coupon and a little thing of floss.
everybody is nice in my place

I agree! It is not the most pleasant but once my teeth are cleaned it feels so good!

I try to go every six months. Plus the dentist makes my next appointment every time I go!
Plus they give out free things like travel-sized toothpastes and regular-sized toothbrushes for each cleaning. this time they gave me a $4 off coupon on the mouthwash i mentioned I couldn't get the cap off

it is not my favorite thing to do, but I go every six months too. I already have my appointment set for getting my cavity filled in December. then they decided to schedule my appointment for my next cleaning next July. I already put the stickers my dentist gives with my appointments on my calendar! even next year's calendar!
My dentist is the kindest man alive and all the hygienists are the sweetest ladies!

@LovesEverybody I always make a new appoinrment when I leave from the previous one, otherwise i mightn't go at all.

@JudyEv my dentist knows me so makes an appointment and especially wants me to be there for him to fill my cavity because I may run away from home to avoid getting it filled!

how often do you get your teeth cleaned?
my mouth feels so fresh! i even started trying to teach myself how to floss my teeth. I am watching YouTube videos on the subject.
It is great my dentist works on Saturday as that way my sister can take me as she works during the week. However, if not possible such as with the orthodontist for braces on my teeth, my sister is taking a weekend off! she is the best sister in the world!

@grenery8 My teeth really need cleaning every six months.
Yes, both of my parents have passed and my sister and i don't have any other siblings besides each other and a small family. She is basically the only person i have. My sister has a husband and son but she includes me in her little family
