My dad has been gone for about 2.5 years and yet he recently received a juror questionnaire.
Granted he passed away in NJ and not NY where he lived but still. That shouldn’t matter. They should be aware that he is no longer alive. Or so I thought.
I told my mom not to throw it away. We will see if they will send another one after this one doesn’t get filled out.

It is rare but it does happen because the deaths don't always get recorded correctly. There was a lot of confusion when my mother passed, because I shared her name. So it was always fun fielding phone calls. I would have to get callers to idinitify which one they wanted to talk to. Got something from AARP in my mom's name accidently mailed to where I was living two years after she passed. It's a mess.

It is indeed. Maybe people are randomly chosen.

Oh no! My dad’s bank kept sending him mail asking him to update his email as when they send him email it doesn’t go through.

I had that happen to me over 15 years ago when my late dad was summoned for jury duty.

Did they keep sending the questionnaire? Or was it a one-time thing?

@lovebuglena One time deal since I went to the court and explained to the clerk that my dad who shares my first name passed away.
