Good Morning! My dentist recommended a special mouthwash that would help me with the problem I came in complaining about. My sister opens things for me. She opened the mouthwash before she left my house to go home on Saturday. But I was distracted when she told me that watch how I put the cap back on the bottle or I would never get it off again. but I wasn't paying that much attention. but she scared me by saying never getting it off again Of course, the story of my life is me doing idiotic things. I took the cap off to use it then I couldn't get it back off the next time i went to use it. I was so upset yesterday as it feels so good. My sister said when i toward her in a text to wait until my peer came she will know how to do it. i didn't want to wait until Wednesday however, I decided to start to become an independent woman! I thought maybe I should try to watch some YouTube videos and see if I could get some advice. I went to YouTube and typed in a detailed description looking for a video of a Listerine mouthwash cap that wouldn't come off. i didn't know what to put in the search engine Sure enough, the first two videos I saw were obviously not what I was looking for so i didn't watch those videos. Then the third video looked like it might be a video that would help. the shade of mouthwash on the video was darker than mine and my cap is clear while the video's cap was black but my cap is clear But it was EXACTLY what i needed! I didn't even have to finish watching the video because i got excited. in the middle of the video i went to the bathroom on the vanity where i keep the mouthwash and in 5 to maybe 10 seconds I got the cap off! I was thrilled! especially since it was $11.97. Not sure if i had to pay that much though as i had a coupon for $ 4 off. i couldn't tell by my receipt if i paid $11.97 before or after. My sister didn't tell me how much it cost before the coupon in the store. i was shocked the mouthwash cost that much as i bought it in Walmart. Have you ever felt helpless then decided to use a YouTube video and succeeded? this was my first time using a YouTube video to get help doing a task! Have a nice day!

@LovesEverybody I don't know your age or situation, but don't ever feel stupid for not being able to do something. Worst case, you broke the lid/bottle. It would've easily been replaced. And, people make videos just to make videos not because there might be a need for them. A lot of people just want views, and how to is a popular widly searched topic. I've turned to youtube on ocassion, and searched how to videos, myself. They exist for all types. No matter the product or who you are.

@LovesEverybody I'm glad I can help. And I thought I led a sheltered life. My parents started letting go just a little bit, closer to their deaths. And, I was kind of forced to do things for myself. I learned by doing and going through depression and anxiety and people telling me no.do this or be with my husband. Guess what I didn't listen and now we're happily married.

My sister opened it first on Saturday night before she went home. I used it then when it got stuck, that was when i spent all Sunday morning trying to get it off. texting my sister that i thought i was an idiot. Now i think much better of myself! It must have given others problems as well when it came out a few years ago because a video had to be made to help. There are some things i wouldn't go to YouTube right away. I would for Those things that could cause more problems if i made a mistake because i had no guidance. I admire you because when I see your posts you always know what you are doing. Quite a few times you have explained things to me and have always made me understand it better thank you!

@LovesEverybody YouTube can help you with so many things. We seem to use it more and more when we want to know how to do something.

@JudyEv i am learning that it helps in my life personally with the mouthwash cap. I never had to use YouTube for help before, but now i am using to watch videos on how to floss my teeth because no matter how many times i am shown by the dental hygienist i can't do it properly. On Saturday she had me hold a hand mirror in front of my mouth while she showed me how to floss them. I got home and have not figured out how to do it yet, and other videos about how to take better care of my teeth

Yes, YouTube has been helpful with quite a few things. Some of those caps are ridiculously hard to get off

I have heard people say how helpful YouTube is to do things, but never used it that way. Maybe i will tease my sister that i am building an addition on to our house for a library and using YouTube to guide me. Have to keep my sister on her toes! Now I am trying to learn how to floss my teeth on YouTube. It is hard but I am trying and will succeed! That cap was so hard but then when the narrator showed us how I had it off in 5-10 seconds! I am glad I watched the video! Have a great week!

Those caps can be super hard to deal with. I have even taken a screw driver to some to try to pry them loose. I'm glad you figured it out.

@LovesEverybody The screw driver attempt didn't work well. I almost stabbed myself!

I had to get mouthwash this past weekend. I got the walmart brand because it was cheaper. Yeah those caps can be tricky. I had hard time getting cap off a spray glue last week. I had to get my mother to help me. Normally for hard caps on bottles I use a oven glove that has ridges. I had to use Youtube to find out how to do a needle felting kit.

I am not sure if my oven gloves will help. I bought Listerine because it was for a specific problem I have been having for a very long time. My dentist recommended Listerine doesn't sell what it uses in the one I bought to make it for stores to sell as their brands. I would have gotten the Walmart brand of mouthwash because I try to use the cheapest products but there are some products I get because I am more concerned about the reason I need it. but the truth is it hurt me when I realized I spent that much. My sister helped me pick it out and didn't tell me the price until we got home To highlight the positive and downplay the negative, my new mouthwash is making my mouth feel somewhat better!

That is wonderful. I’m very glad for you! Yes, I watched a YouTube video on how to turn on a humidifier I bought once. Luckily, the video showed me how to do it.

good for you, too! I could really get into doing things for myself! This morning when i brought the empty garbage cans down i decided to sweep the sidewalk of leaves! Every year my sister tells me to sweep them every day and i never do but this year i think i will sweep the sidewalks so nobody trips! Have a super day!

I congratulate you. Why is it so hard to open it? I have problems with opening big soda bottles because I don´t have the strenght. So I ask everybody that come around to open all the bottles I have bought and then close then but not so tight. And I have big problems opening those meds that have caps that cannot be opened by children (and by me).

I had to press the two sides in and twist the cap at the same time. I am not the only one who must have had problems because when this cap was new three years ago somebody made a video about how to open it! I have very little strength in my arms. That is why my sister opens things for me when i buy them with her or she sees them in my house. i keep my medicine out of reach of my cat and i have no children so i get regular caps! if I had childproof caps I would not be able to take my medicine again! I hope i can open my soda bottle because i bought 16 oz bottles Saturday that i want so much!

This was a first for me too. I may look up something again as it made me feel like an independent woman for the first time in my life. This time it was a personal crisis because I really wanted that mouthwash and my peer, Courtney, only comes on Wednesday which seemed like a long time to wait from the weekend My mouth is starting to feel a lot better with it. i am glad i wrote my problems down so my dentist could address them because if not i would have forgotten them Have a super day!

YouTube comes in handy for almost anything you need help doing. Glad you found a video on getting your cap off the mouthwash. It must have felt great to be able to do it yourself and not have to wait for help. Go Jennifer!!!
