Good Morning!
Yesterday and this morning I became dizzy while I was sitting at my desk yesterday I was watching a Warren Buffet video on YouTube, and today I was mylotting.
Yesterday I woke up and was fine. Today I woke up and promptly fell fat on my face My face was touching the floor. Luckily, my computer is in my bedroom where I have a rug as the rest of the house is hardwood floors.
What I don't understand is I had on the old distance glasses that I only use to watch TV in bed as I am sure to fall asleep and I don't want to break my new distance glasses. I worry about my new distance glasses that I got this past summer because they are DKNY glasses and I only wear them to watch TV when I am out of bed or I am out of the house going someplace because they are too expensive.
I have not fallen in years and i don't think ever flat on my face.
I am going to start keeping track of my blood pressure and heartbeat rate and write them down in a log.
I see my heart doctor for an echocardiogram during the first week of the new year then see my doctor the same week, both appointments are already scheduled
Have you ever fallen over when you stood up from being dizzy?

I hope you don't experience dizziness in the future as it is not a good thing to have.

@rakski did you experience it with the birth of your other children?
I had anesthesia for wisdom teeth removal in September of this year and I seem to remember being dizzy and disoriented trying to walk around the doctor's office. My sister says I was sleeping in the car on the way home, but I don't remember. i don't remember the whole car ride home. I remember getting in and then we were in my front yard

No, but I have gotten light headed a time or two when I thinking I was taking too much BP medication

I had my one BP medication reduced by half and it worked for the dizziness for a while
I think it may be that my heart doctor's partner took me off one of my heart medicines completely as my sister said I should call my heart medicine because right before I got my wisdom teeth out I was getting very dizzy and having very low BP readings. My sister was worried about my procedure the doctor said to stop taking the medicine immediately.
I haven't been on it since August and I was on that medicine for over 20 years when I first got sick

@LovesEverybody It also could be one of your other meds causing issue,s or maybe you aren't eating or sleeping enough.

@snowy22315 I wonder because I have not slept more than two or three hours in several weeks. I am trying to eat more, I just have a problem eating more. Courtney, my peer, will supervise me in making a package of hotdogs tomorrow, so I will have something to eat.
I am also going to see if she will teach me how to make French toast since I have bread, milk, and eggs. Courtney will know how to make it or will look it up on her work phone.
or we may grocery shopping because you reminded me that Courtney has to take me to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription that i really need.
I don't know about my other meds. I have so many that I lose track of which ones have which side effect
Thanks for giving me something to think about as I wasn't sure what had been causing my dizziness.
I will eat something soon as I have not had anything to eat in two days but yogurt

I am sorry that happened to you too
I am worried as I have had a history for a while of having dizzy spells.
Now that you mention it, some of my medicines say don't stand up too fast while taking them and of course, I haven't listened.
Have a great rest of the weekend!

i forget about getting up slowly. I tend to have a habit of doing everything quickly. I also have many accidents from falling to dropping my water bottle once that was huge and i had to wipe it all up. I was not happy. I feel much better. I discovered i didn't each for a couple of days. i had some cottage cheese now.
This afternoon Courtney my peer is coming and we will cook together as I need her help in deciding what to eat because I don't have very much food in the refrigerator, freezer, and pantry

@JudyEv thank you! She helps me so much and she is so much fun to be with! She still has her perkiness of youth as she is only in her very early 30s. i like to be around that attitude as i lost some of that when i got into my 50s!
i am so tired from not being able to sleep i need her help to cook safely

Sorry to know of your fall. Consult your doctor and take proper medicines. Can be anything , blood pressure is just one thing . I had a sudden blackout once and fell on my face in the washroom. Hurt my forehead and cheeks. However, it has never happened again.

I am seeing one doctor in the middle of December and at the beginning of January I will take a heart test and then see my heart doctor that week. I have been taking my medicine. I recently was taken off a heart medicine in August.
I am sorry that you had such a hard fall i hope it never happens again. I hope you are doing well

OH hope you are okay.
I fell flat on my face long time back. I had a scar on my chin from that and later dental problems too. I was 8 years old maybe. I had to get stitches done on the chin.

@Dreamerby I am sorry. My sister has marks on her face from surgery from when a car hit her car and didn't stop. she was in bad shape. that was 30 or more years ago
I don't always see them, as i am not looking for them. Once in a while she will turn her head a certain way and i see the stitches.

I hope you're ok from your fall! I've never had that kind of fall, but I've fallen out of nowhere while walking - totally unexpected. Both times I think my knee was weak to begin with and it didn't pull my foot forward enough . . . and so I fell straight down . . . ironically onto that knee which messed it up even more. Falls are no fun.

Thank you! I am feeling much better. I was also kind of drowsy all day and kept falling asleep.
I have had many falls. Once i tripped over the wood that holds the ball in miniature golf courses. That fall was my least fun as I ended up spending Saturday night in the Emergency Room with a dislocated elbow.
I fell once on my knees from my stool at the counter in the dining and landed on hardwood floor. they hurt for over a year. I even went after months of pain to the doctor. that was back in my late 20s. now a few years ago i got the worst pain my left knee ever had. I went to a specialist and i had to get a cortisone shot in it as i developed arthritis in it

You're luck you didn't get hurt when you fell. I know that standing up too quickly can cause dizziness and hope it's nothing more than that. It's good that you have a dr appointment coming up but I think if it continues to happen you should call and tell him.

I was lucky as I was on a rug. I looked it up and I have medicines where it says don't get up too quickly and some that cause me dizziness whenever.
the doctor appointment I mentioned in my discussion is in January, however, I forgot i have my every six-month appointment with my primary care doctor a few weeks before that in the middle of December of this year. my primary care doctor is as good as my heart doctor.
Have a great evening!
