Looks like Donald Trump will be president again

The way the results of the US elections have come forward, it looks like it'll be Mr. Donald Trump who will, for the second time become the President of the US.
His chances of winning are/looks higher than Kamala Harris. Trump has 198 electoral votes, while Harris comes second with 112. Interestingly, the Green Party, the Libertarian Party, and Independent candidates haven't received even a single electoral vote.
A few results are still awaited. But what do you think the result will be?

So you mean the gap between the two has come down? I first saw it was 112 and 198 - Harris and Trump respectively.

It looks like Trump indeed will be President again. The country was just too dissatisfied with Biden’s immigration policies, and the tumble in the economy. Trump even got a high number of female votes despite his poor history with the female gender.

@abhi_bangal He will, but I really hope he can find a way to bring both Democrats and Republicans together. Democrats are very angry, and a LOT of Republicans are wary. It’s a very unsettling time, and I only hope we can all band together somehow.

@AmbiePam That's the real work and challenge of a leader to do - being your own people and even your opponents together with you. And looking at the way Donald Trump functioned earlier, I don't know why, but it seems like it's possible that he will bring everyone under one single roof.
And exactly what do you want to say the Republicans are "wary" about?

Yes. That's one part of the history. But as you say, even despite that if he has got a considerable amount of female vote share, then that is definitely something to look forward to. It'll be the beginning of a new era. Because I am sure Donald Trump will have exciting economic policies that will help not only the US, but India also.

Little late to your post. Trump in a landslide mandate by the American people. Over 300 electoral votes plus a 2-point margin in the popular vote.
You can't run a candidate who has no clue how to govern, appeals just to Hollywood elites and minority voters, and whose radical policies turn off middle class voters.

When it comes to managing your country, the economy is one of the most important angles. And because Trump is already a businessman, who knows better than him, if I were to compare him with at least Kamala Harris.
And he crossed the 300 mark? It's showing 295 and 226 in favor of Donald Trump.

@dgobucks226 So the final figures aren't out yet? It's showing 295 for Trump and 226 for Harris.
But I'm curious to know - it's official that Trump will be the next president of the US. But it's only that we are awaiting the numbers. Is it like that? And how are the votes cast? Paper ballot? Or electronic machines?

@abhi_bangal Not yet, seems they took that 312 number away that some outlets reported. He is leading in those 2 states though, but ballots are still being counted. So, we should have the final count in a day or two.

Yes. I think it was inevitable. It was only a matter of time when he got substantial lead that he would come out victorious.

@porwest Hmm. You are right. The trend and the atmosphere was definitely favoring Donald Trump. As for signs, to see them or not was a personal choice.

@abhi_bangal I think all the signs were there despite many people not wanting to see them.

Ya even those are the exact figures that I have seen. But did you mean to say Trump 267? Because what I have seen is, to win it shows 270. And I think he still is trailing by 3.

@Ghostlady Before replying I just checked. And now the numbers are quite healthier at 292 to 224 in favor of Donald Trump. 277 might be a couple of hours ago, probably.

@abhi_bangal When I posted this he was 277 and STILL 277. And we took majority in the Senate. Wish we could get majority in the House so we can really get something done at our border.

He definitely made history today. He became second ex-president in history to again become a President. Kamala had less chance in the election as she did not ideas on how to recover the economy or on international policies. She never an accomplishment to speak of. But even before the results, most knew it was Trump election to lose more than anything. He had more points and was more confident than Kamala. Trump definitely is good for economy and policy perspective. He would be quick to work on the action items and atleast pro-US by any standards. Well, It is Trump 2.0.

I will say, not at least pro-US, he is definitely pro-US. And any national leader should be. And now that he is elected he has to be pro-US. His first stint was quite well received. He was and is still popular in India.
As you are talking about Kamala Harris not having more ideas on recovering the economy, and probably why Mr Trump is having them is because he is a businessman already. So he knows what economy is, how to sustain a business, and how to grow it. I think he is using those expertise on a national basis.
Let's hope this time he is successful in doing that. Because the Russia-Ukraine war and the battle going on in the Middle East has hurt the world economy overall.

@dgobucks226 Hey, thank you for mentioning. I became curious to know who the first president was in this case. And your one line reply helped me a lot to know about it.
