Why others are so mean and inconsiderate?

Nowadays, social media is very powerful tool to reach out people. It's now easy to air or share our thoughts in so many issues and discussions but some people are lacking emphaty and consdiration. I notice that some are quick to judge and throw nasty remarks toward certain individual they have disagreement with when things are not favorable or against their stand. There are even those who cross beyond limits and becoming too personal with their tirades. What is more bothersome is, most of these people hide theirselves under dummy or anonymous personality that's why it is easy for them to hit you hard below the belt. However, there are also those who are brave enough to show their genuine identity and do the same.

People do and say things they probably wouldn't do in real life because the interpersonal connection is lacking.

So easy for people like them to attack with nasty remarks because it will not harm them physically. Had it be said and done face-to-face, situation could be different...

@ZedSmart Indeed. People like that used to resort to sending nasty anonymous letters, but that takes quite a bit of time and effort. Now, hidden behind a computer it's all so easy!

It's always been this way since humanity begun. Social media just makes you take notice.

Yes, because it's easier now to engage with people if we are active in social media.

Good to hear that. That's why I don't like to engage to people like them because they are just a headache.

I usually ignore those mean and inconsiderate comments in social media when i see popular content creator updates because there are too many people who wants to comment in their content.

I agree somewhat. Even those whos use realistic names can be not the real person they are and just using name of other person.

They are trying to ban social media here for people under 16. I think it would be a good thing but very unpopular. I think it might be very hard to do too.

@ZedSmart I've no idea how they'd do it. I don't think they know either really.

Most of the people who are nasty online does not have the courage to do offline. They are just there to get either 2min fame or being saddist , they want to enjoy putting down others. Then there are others who cannot stand the success of people and takes every opportunity to hit at them. And another common feature among all these abusers are that they have not achieved anything and are mostly glued to social media from the morning. Plus given the media is projecting negative news more than positive , some of the feel , being the alpha characters get the things in the world. We either ignore these people or react to them when they cross the limits. Have a good day ahead!

Very well said. I think it is best to ignore them until it's becoming libelous?
