Okhra is what they are better known as and I wonder why they are called lady's finger.
This is one of my faovurite vegetables and I cook them in various ways My best dish is when I cook them in coconut juice.
I had this vegetable growing in my garden years ago. One has to be vigilant when to harvest it as a slight delay it will get seasoned and cannot be used.
Lady's finger is loaded with iron and is good for health.

I love okra. A lady finger is used in a dessert for us. I have never heard okra called this. They are cake like.

I was going to say the same as @Tampa_girl7, lady fingers are used in a dessert, those we use to make tiramisù in Italy (we call them Savoiardi in Italy).

The only thing I do not like about it that it has sticky fluid inside.
