November 9 discussion goal: good morning What are you doing this weekend?

Good Morning!
I will be spending this weekend alone. Maybe my sister will call me one day, if not i will not talk personally to anybody.
This happens frequently to me. So, to get over the loneliness. I started what i call My Great Reading Challenge where i pick out some things i want to read during a certain period of time to see if I can read them.
It gives me meaning and a sense of purpose!
Maybe I will start giving myself a small non-monetary reward if I complete the challenge -- such as watching a cooking show on Roku TV that I don't watch often.
I have to pick what I am to read this weekend a little later

she prefers to call me. She doesn't have time. I just got off the phone with her. She called while she was in the car wash. She talked for a few minutes. she was on the way to a craft show with her friends. She talked a couple of minutes until she picked up one of her friends as she was driving.
She answers but I only call for emergencies such as several months ago when the toilet wouldn't stop running. so she answered and called our handyman who came to fix it.
she wants me, I think to text her
i don't mind weekends alone that much as I have The Patridge Family, Mork & Mindy, and several other favorite shows to watch!

@AmbiePam Now that you mention it, texting is not so bad. I may start texting my sister and others who are in my phone book on my cell phone more often

Whatever can help give your life purpose and meaning is beneficial. As I said in my AM message, I am going to a craft show and a little bit later, a picnic.

I do find purpose in reading. I had to quit a book, however, I had another that I am enjoying so far
A craft show sounds fun! I used to go to them for the holidays with my parents. My sister has been going to them for the holidays since October. She bought me a black cat figure out of wood as one of my Halloween presents from a craft show
will it be warm enough for a picnic? it sounds fun!
Have fun at both your craft show and picnic!
Today are my shows. starting at noon The Patridge Family is on first. so i have something to look forward to

That is great! What are you having for dinner? That is a great tradition you have to go to Mass and have a family dinner,
Is it Sunday where you are? Here in the US, it is still Saturday morning. My Church doesn't have Saturday Mass until evening and then there is the traditional Sunday Mass.

@LovesEverybody wish i could do that when i don't like the book or show. something in me makes me finish it. i guess i don't like leaving things unfinished

@aureategloom I used to force myself to finish every book I started. I was miserable reading like that, so I stopped and didn't finish a book unless I loved it and still continue that to this day.
Yes, the series of books that The Pumpkin Spice Puppy comes from is very easy to read i know I enjoy them!

I had chosen "A Christmas Duet" by Debbie Macomber and stopped reading it at the beginning as there were some parts I didn't like.
I then started Pumpkin Spice Puppy by Laurien Berenson and love it!

Good night! It is almost 11 p.m. here, but I already had my sleep so I am getting up!
I did have a great day as I started a new book and read 102 pages before bed!

You should few more items in your plate and then you would feel there are many things to do. I would not say to do a lot of things. For example along with reading , writing a book or blog , cooking , gardening any 5 items that would interest you. That will open new roads and perhaps even greater things. I am currenely locked with learning ,reading and doing my online things. It keeps me busy most of times along with other activities. There are days I have felt I o not have time and in fact I am trying to be more productive to complete the things in hand.Today , I would be looking to complete few learnings , cleaning the house plus few online things as well. Have a nice weekend!

I really like your ideas! I like the idea of writing a blog-- however, I would have no idea how to go about it. I also wouldn't have any idea what to write a blog about. But I guess that means I have to start to research how to start a blog. I would most likely start one about books/reading if I did indeed start one
I can't think of five things I am interested in. I am learning to cook, so maybe I can cook and read about it more and try cooking more often.
