Is using tags still useful for Mylot discussions these days?

When I joined Mylot 6 months ago , I do not recollect reading much about tags. For the first 3 days, I responded and believe opened my first discussion on the second day. But never used any tags in my initial discussion or responses. It was from one of the responses from a mylotter I started noticing about tags . I noticed the mention of atleast 5 tags. Ever since then, I have started using tags.
After being in mylot for almost 6 months , I am not sure if tags are still useful. Atleast 90% of current discussions or responses do not make use of any tags. And worse, I feel I am one who is using tags in all my discussions and responses. So, are tags useful these days for Mylot discussions?

I don't generally read or use them personally.

i don’t think tags are useful.
when i fist came here i remember searching in tags for Bosnia/Croatia/Serbia because i wanted to see if there were any people from my neighbor countries. i rarely search for tags and rarely add them to my discussions or responses because i don’t think anybody checks them out or searches for them

I too agree - there are only few who are actually making using of tags. Most do not use any tags. Thanks for sharing!

I use them on my discussions out of habit, but I don't put them on my comments like some folks do.
