I am not a Novel Writer

I have been gone working on a novel for NaNoWriMo. It is going so slow. I have to look up everything and that slows me down. I am now trying to find out who my villain is. I dreamed up three but I have no idea how that is going to go.
I have finally gotten to 10,000 words. Grammarly is broken again. I contacted them through Reddit and they said there was an outage yesterday and it is fixed. Today it stopped working again.
I am missing my friends here on myLot so I here I am. I like my story but I am not a novelist.

I know what you are going through since when I write a fan fiction on the Marvel and D C heroes, I try to keep close to canon and add extra heroes that I created as the assistants to the main characters.

Writing take a lot of time and effort. Sometimes it flows...sometimes it doesn't. I have written over 1,000 articles and reviews and I have a completed children's picture book done in rhyme. I wish you the best of luck with your novel. Have a good day.

One good thing might come out of it. I have a super idea for a kid's book. I sent one of my characters to go visit her aunt. The aunt is a writer and I started describing her and the books she wrote. Like wow, is she real. I just made her up. I sometimes have problems where characters rise up and take over and I can just write what they are doing. So, I might make a kid's book about her.

@akalinus Good idea. I hope it comes to fruition. I have decided to self-publish my children's book. This should be exciting.

You don't have to be. If you want to write, let it be for fun. Grammarly isn't the only editor out there. Microsoft and Apple both have their own native proof reading tools, and I use those over a third-party.

Good luck, sounds to hard for me. Grammarly literally makes me write worse if that is possible. I start to sound unnatural because trying to be grammatically correct. I think that is why most just write it and them let the experts do the editing. If you try to do it solo, these top dogs will know and pick it apart. Where you need to play by their rules if you want it to work.

Best of luck to you, I know I can write stories but novels take a whole lot more and even if fiction have to have some kind of reality, I hope you finish yours,

I know. I love writing too. But only short paragraphs. I don't have the patience to write stories(novels). Its sad.
