Is Football Season Over Yet?

I am one of those crazy nuts who lives right in the middle of SEC football country, but does not care for football. 1. Boys are started off early playing football. If it were just a game for fun and exercise, I would have no issue. But too many parents are just living through their kids and trying to force them to be sports stars and not allowing them to be children. 2. Fans act ridiculous and some get violent over their chosen team. 3. People pay outrageous amounts of money to go to games and buy stadium food and team products. Yes, it is their money and they can spend it on what they want. But I know too many people who will neglect paying their bills or buying necessities for their home and kids to go to these games. 4. Some people are more loyal to their favorite football team than they are their own family. Those are just my thoughts. I know it does not apply to all fans, but it is a problem many have. I am not saying there should be no sports, but fan loyalties should be prioritized properly. So, for me, as soon as football season starts, I am asking "is it over yet?"

Sports can be a lot of fun, but when it becomes all-consuming or leads to unhealthy behaviors, it can be a real issue. Balancing a passion for a team with responsibility to family and personal well-being is key.
