Good morning, friends.
I brought a cup of coffee to bed after starting Juanita´s work. She is washing my jeans and I threw in a couple of other things of the same color.
The jeans were not dirty, but when they are clean they are also tight and I look better in them.
There´s noone to see how I look, but just as I comb my hair everyday (and several times a day if needed) I like to be comfortable but nice.
Is it vanity? I wonder sometimes. But I also like to have my house as tidy as possible although there are certain places that just escape my possibilities. As soon as I wash all the dishes, other dishes and pots replace them in the sink.
Today I will fix another place for my laptop. I will stop using it in my lap as I have all winter and will go to the dining room. It has more sunlight and I will see better.
I´ll see you later. For the moment Juanita is calling me and I like to hang the clothes immediatly. I hand iron them while they are wet as I haven´t used the iron for years.

Wear whatever makes you feel beautiful! I too dress up well when I go to college and I get comments like "Who are you trying to impress?" (well my batchmates mean that in a funny way) . What people don't get is that I dress up well for myself. It makes me feel confident.

@Dreamerby I will not wear dresses that are meant for teens. But there are lots of nice dresses for women of my age.

@marguicha I will be dressing up at any age no matter what anyone says. I am not saying I am extremely fashionable. But I do like wearing cute dresses and love shopping dresses and ornaments.

I washed a load yesterday. So today I just had the jeans, a pair of pants and a few dark colored blouses.

I gave away my drying machine years ago so I only wash when the sun comes out. Today is a perfect way for my jeans but I placed some black pants in the garage, away from too much sun.

i understand you, i feel so much nicer when i'm in nice clothes around the house or when i do my hair. still - i'm usually wearing my pajamas
i moved my laptop to the dining room for the same reason - it's the only room that gets some sun during the day.
have you tried using that steam iron? i love those, much easier to use.

My problem is my back. Ever since I had the terrible back problems that led to back surgery, I don´t like to iron or to wash dishes. Standing up is not an option for me.

We all have vanity and, a little pride mixed in. That would be uncomfortable having the laptop on your lap.

I think it is sort of self-respect to keep yourself neat and tidy. I wouldn't call it vanity.

it is so strange that you have spring in your country. In India it is the end of autumn. Seasons in the southern hemisphere are exactly opposite to the northern hemisphere

Wear what makes you happy and comfortable. I did the laundry the other day and will do it again when the rain stops.
