I am so, so thankful for the gift of music. God created music. He created it for Himself, and it is an honor and privilege for us to glorify Him with that gift. I urge all to reflect on the music to which you listen. Does it glorify Christ? Does it point others to the cross of Christ? Does help you grow spiritually? If the answer to any of these questions is "no", as a believer, you might want to change or delete some stuff from your playlist. Music, not only was made for us to give back to God, but God gave it to us for healing, growth, and entertainment. Music sets the tone for our attitudes and philosophies. What we listen to will dictate our choices, behaviors, and attitudes. What is your music doing for you? There is nothing wrong with having fun and enjoying life. God wants that for us. But more importantly, He wants us to be holy. If one is a believer, holiness is commanded. And holiness is heavily promoted by what we hear and see. How are you programming your mind with the music to which you listen? I know God has redirected my thoughts and actions many times through the gift of music. Oh how I praise Him for Who He is and for blessing me with such a beautiful gift.
