Teamwork between the Chatham County Fire Department (CCFD) and the Chatman County Marine Patrol (CCMP) was successful in rescuing four kayakers who were left stranded in the Ogeechee River in Savannah Georgia on Monday November 11.
One of the kayakers flipped and tried to unsuccessfully tried to retrieve his lost paddle that fell in the Ogeechee River.
Since the current in the Ogeechee River was too strong for the other kayakers to assist the fallen kayaker to retrieve the paddle that was in the river.
The Swift Water Team of the CCFD sent a boat at Morgan's Bridge and picked up the kayakers near Middle Landing and Shag Road.
The rescuers are hoping that the kayakers learn their lesson to marine advisories before going out on the river since the kayakers were lucky that they were rescued on Veterans Day.

People who wind up getting into trouble should stay off the waters, Glad they were rescued,

You are right since I like kayaking but I do not have the courage to be on the water.

Teamwork works the best.
But I think people should also think not to be a burden to others. I mean there are people who are willing to save others, but we should also think that they are also human prone to dangers that we put ourselves into,

That is very true since there are times when first responders do lose their lives in the line of duty.

With such strong currents in the river, it might have been more circumspectual not to go out kayaking on that day.
It was good that they were rescued without too much drama.
