Did Stevey Ray Vaughan ever listen to or watch Jimi Hendrix? What do you think?

I grew up in Chicago, and sometimes enjoyed listening to the blues.
Do you think that Stevie Ray Vaughan may have been influenced my Jimi Hendrix, and other blues musicians?
My hunch is that he was.
I hope you enjoy this video of Stveie Ray Vaughan doing a slow blues number.
I always seem to enjoy his music

I have the 'Live at the el Mocambo' VHS and a couple of others from Stevie.
Pretty sure he must have listened to Jimi since he did at least 2 Hendrix covers - Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) and Little Wing - on his album releases and 'Third Stone from the Sun' is on el Mocambo..

And there you have it!
The el Mocambo has played an important role in the development of popular music in Toronto since 1948, though I've never been there.

Jimi wrote Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)? Dang! I had thought it was a Perry Como tune. Heh. Stevie's version of Little Wing is great. Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) is one of one of my favorite Hendrix tunes. I haven't listened to Stevie's take on it in years. Perhaps I will do so now.

@Scarred4Lyfe I have never been in a helicopter and have no desire to be in one.

I suspect that he was one of those guys who had a million albums and listed to everyone.

I am sure that many artists are influenced by others and their kind of style stays on the mind. Hey, often times when I read something that associates with a certain song I can already hear that song in my mind, With me it got even worse one time, It was the time Jim Croce and Bad Leroy Brown were all over the radio. I happened to be vising a friend in Chicago. We were heading for a nightclub and he saw a pal named Leroy. So he said to me, Hey Leroy's here as well, I grabbed onto his arm and in panic I said You don't mean the one from the song. My friend laughed so long and so hard he could hardly speak,
