Good Thing I Did Not Go

Today is supposedly my office day Wednesday. I worked from home today instead of going to the office. Tomorrow will be office day. But good thing I did not go. I just saw a traffic advisory a minute ago. It's Dua Lipa's concern here in the Philippines. The authorities expecting congestion in the expressway as what happened to the previous concerts. Good thing I won't be stuck as I worked from home. They are expecting heavy traffic from 6 PM to 10 PM.

This is a positive development for work these days, particularly for hybrid setups where employees do not have to physically report to work when such incidents occur. Historically, many workers had to report to work every day in order to receive their pay. However, WFH has been modified as a feasible work option ever since the pandemic, and this has continued into the post-pandemic situation.

@jobelbojel, it is true that the pandemic's aftermath has made many workers realize that working from home is feasible and workable, but I am sure it will not apply to everyone, especially in industries like manufacturing or medicine where many employees still need to be on-site for their jobs.

That is right. Also, this set up allow us to stay at home if there is a typhoon affecting the area. I remember pre-pandemic, had to endure heavy rains just to report to work.

I am glad that we have a hybrid work set up. We can stay at home to work if the weather is bad.
