HAHAHAHA Trump picks Matt Gaetz for US Attorney General

OMG. I LOL'ed so much when I heard the news that I wound up having to use my inhaler and my downstairs neighbor texted me to see if I was okay. For real--Trump just announced that his pick for AG is Florida Rep Matt Gaetz. You remember him, right? He's part of the GOP MAGA crazies who forced Kevin McCarthy out of his role as Speaker of the House. He is under investigation by both the government and a House Ethics Committee for payments made to underage girls for sex and for child trafficking. Democrat Rep Jared Moskowitz is currently on CNN saying that he served with Gaetz in the Florida legislature as well as the House. He is saying that Gaetz is very qualified for the position but also that he will be perfectly capable of going after whoever Trump puts on his revenge list. In other crazy pick news Trump also announced this afternoon that his choice for Director of National Intelligence is Tulsi Gabbard. You remember her, right? She was a Democrat Representative and ran as a Democrat for president in 2016. She eventually changed her party affiliation to "independent" and started filling in as a guest host on FOX News. Then she registered as a Republican and recently campaigned for Trump. She has been called a "Russian asset" by many people so of course Trump thinks that it is a great move to have her at the head of intelligence. And just for my buddy @porwest I will also mention that it was officially announced today that Senator Marco Rubio will be Trump's Secretary of State. I am no fan of his nor do I respect how he bent the knee to Trump after losing the 2016 primary to him. Still I think that he is qualified to do the job. I'm not a fan but I'm not laughing at the absurdity of the selection.
