How long is your usual waiting time?

I had a doctor’s appointment at 9:30am. I left the facility at 11:30am. The funny thing is, I talked to the doctor no more than 15 minutes. Months ago,I had an appointment with him once at 7:45am. I got out of there that day at 10am!
Then I had another doctor a few years ago, that if your appointment was at 3pm, you got seen exactly at 3pm. He kept things going fast, even though he never rushed through an appointment. You certainly never felt like it.
My dentist is always late, but she gives you a $10 gift card if she keeps you waiting too long. Once, she gave me a $25 gift card. I was like hey, I can wait an extra hour for a $25 gift card. Of course, on days you don’t feel good you don’t care at all about a gift certificate.
How are your doctors with waiting times?

I have just started a kind of weird doctor situation. I think this is the first time in my adult life that I can say the clinic has one medical provider NOT fifteen in a mega huge complex. The provider does not have me waiting more than 2 minutes. And boom: helper is taking my vitals and boom, 2 minutes later, provider is in paying attention to me. Kind of floors me.

@AmbiePam Thanks. I agree- I have spent my entire adult life avoiding medical folks. The sad truth is that I am not getting younger. This Provider wants to see me in three months. Not sure why but I agreed. The 23rd I have the next discussion with the Ortho Pro.

They are OK. I don't go to the doctor often.

I don't usually have to wait to go into the patient room, but once in there I wait for quite a bit. I think it's because my doctor is part of a walk-in clinic and may have priority patients come in (like sick babies). I will arrive on time but am usually there about an hour, though the doctor doesn't rush me when she is talking with me, but it's only about 10-15 minutes.

Hahahah your dentist know how to pacify his/her patients lol!
For an eye check up we are there at ten in the morning and we always leave at 3PM. Our eye doctors have so many patients, she's really good.

My regular primary care doctor not long at all to get in the examination room. Then another 10 minutes later before actually seeing him. Probably about 15-20 minutes.
Time spent with a doctor is not like it used to be. They have to spend more time inputting data into their computers than actually examining the patient. I wonder why this has happened.

Sometimes it's pretty quick, other times it's snails pace. It depends on what's going on at the office. Or what we're going to see.

Here in my city it depends on the number of patients and the number you get while booking. If the number of patients are more and my number is booked later I have to wait.

They've been pretty good lately. I've had doctors in the past that I've waited an hour or more for. Have a good day.

in our hospital, you book an appointment and then you come when said, so the waiting time is not too long if you make an appointment. if you just show up, you'll have to wait until everyone else is done

Well, I had my share of waiting times. There were few were the waiting times where just 5 minutes and there were few which took us hours. There were situations where I was the last to see the doctor. In fact , the days I am visting a hospital , I take a leave as we never know when we would be back. And these are not the ones where I just go to hospital to meet the doctor right away. These are with appointments. I also had terrible waiting times especially at government offices and car showrooms. Nowadays , I just complete some of my calls or tasks while waiting . Enjoy the day!

The one I see now is very good. The office even has a sign up asking to tell them if you have to wait more than 15 minutes past your appointment time

Man I wish our doctor did that gift card thing lol.
The hospital in Alabama which is about fifteen minutes away instead of 30 plus for the other ones we waited maybe fifteen minutes and the actual doctor came in four or five times.
