This story had a bit of a thriller vibe to it, but I didn't quite consider it a thriller while reading it. Perhaps at the very end.
The back of the book gives very little description - "This is a story about a married couple." "They have a very dark secret." "You might think you've read stories like this before." "You'd be wrong."
What more can I say without giving it away? I didn't much like the couple. I didn't like their relationship. She was very domineering which became even more evident as the story unrolled. This wife takes things to the extreme with her husband who made one little mistake (well, some wouldn't consider it little), but she spent years getting even with him without him even knowing. He thought they were working together. A psycho couple.
It's very well thought out and written. And I guess we aren't supposed to like the characters. It was a very twisted story to say the least.
This was book #3 from my movie musicals prompt. The song was So Long, Farewell from The Sound of Music. The prompt being a family member in the title. I have quite a few (wife, brother, sister-in-law, father, etc.) but chose this as I picked it up at the lobby library on one of my vacations. I've had it for awhile.
