Thankful

Today Tom went to do some things and stopped at the AmVets. I got a call from his friend who asked me to come get him as he should not be driving. Went and picked him up..he was way more drunk than I have seen him in Years!! So thankful that they would not let him drive. He usually makes sure he only drinks his limit, but he has been sick and hasn't been eating very good. So even though he only drank what he normally drinks..it hit him hard. Have not had to go pick him up in probably 20 years. Just so Thankful they looked after him. Makes me feel better that he goes there and not some bar where they do not know him. Our Veterans take care of each other.

He slept a couple of hours..woke up and wanted to go get his truck. I took him to get it. And he ate dinner, so her is doing good. Hasn't coughed much tonight at all. Me neither. I think we did good getting out of this house. LOL
