My SIL cancelled the birthday dinner on Sunday. We are supposed to celebrate the birthday of my nephew and his dad (SIL's hubby). We are expecting the typhoon on Saturday until Sunday. It is better to be safe than sorry.

It's disappointing to have the party cancelled but it's certainly better to be safe if a typhoon is coming.

That's sounds very sensible to cancel the celebration. I hope you'll be able to have it once the typhoon has passed.
