My local currency is euro and i received a payment for my audio work in dollars. I personally exchanged dollars to euros on the site that i was working, in their wallet and sent it to PayPal.
All of a sudden, PayPal transfererd it on his own to dollars again and wants me to convert again and charge me twice. I sent an email to them about this. I mean, this didn't happen before. If euros were currency, i could transfer it easily and only pay 25 cents for transferring it to my bank card.
Did you experience this?
P.s. I got courtesy refund and got 17.10 euros, yes!

euro is strong as dollar but i always received less. For last payment of 10.68 dollars, i received less then 10euros and with conversion and 25 cents fee, i got 9.47 euros on my account. That's stealing and on this small amounts.

@grenery8 They keep commissions and they do not stick to daily exchange rate!

I don't know.they are not working on weekends and i wonder is this all cause i by mistake set my preferred currency to be usd.but,i received my payment in euros,17.10 euros.euro is strong as a dollar and from 17.41 usd, they want to give me 15.96 euros with conversion fee and 25cents for transferring funds to my bank account.before,if i received payments in euros, there was no problem, just this fee is added.they are literally robbing me.

Ouch! On my first time in Paypal they charge me $5 for the transfer. But now because we have a lot of online banking the charge is only centavos... hehehe.
I hope they will do something to your concerns.

I'm glad you do.maybe i set by mistake dollars as primary currency but if i received 17.10 euros, they shouldn't transferred it to 17.41 usd and then give me 15.94 euros, they should give me 17.10.that's stealing.euro is strong as dollar. Not sure if they will answer but thanks.have a good weekend too!

It appears, what paypal ai told me i set usd as my primary currency but still, i received euros, not dollars and i set preffered currency only once.now they want to charge me twice for conversion.for them, 17.10 euros is 17,41 dollars and i'll get 15.96 euros on my account. Euro is strong as a dollar, what a robbery with these additional fees. And i'm sad a bit cause i could have got this payment of 17.10 euros in my private account in 2-4 days but i wanted it sooner.

they refunded me, some courtesy refund and i would accept like you but 2times being charged for currency exchange, i couldn't that. also, app saying one thing and actual site other. i will know everything from now on and i am glad i set my money to euros so no more feeling confused or shocked.

Thank you, well, they said i set up preferred currency, usd and fees are included to transfer it to euros, ignoring i got last payment in euros and my local currency is euro. I did this on their site. in their app, i had to wait for months to cash out and only the bigger currency, bigger in amount of payment.
now i demanded refund and they said they could do it, asking me would i like to proceed but i answered i would like to know the exact amount of what i'm getting.not sure will they answer.
for years,i'm dealing with double currencies and bigger fees for currency exchange, plus fees for transferring money to my bank card.not fair.i wish i get it directly on my bank account, like you, us citizens
