Movie Review: Terrifier 2

If you haven’t noticed we watch a lot of movies. They generally range from stupid stoner comedies to action movies but we have started watching more horror films and last month we watched Terrifyer. It was okay, but that’s not the movie I’m reviewing right now. If we are honest Terrifier doesn’t even deserve a review it was that just boring. Last night we watched Terrifier 2. It was a little better than the first one, so right away it gets points for that. There was a good bit more story line to it as well. Art the Clown is back in the second one, and this time he has targeted one family. Or so it seems. The movie starts with him killing someone (big shocker in a horror movie I know), and then going to the laundromat to wash the blood off his clothing. This is when another “clown” appears. This time a female. There are a couple more killings before he catches up with Sienna, her little brother and their mother. I won’t spoil everything, but I will see things don’t end well for the family. This movie introduced the little female clown as Art’s sidekick I guess. Sienna and Johnathan also have a sketch book that was left to them by their father and in it were news articles about both Art the Clown and his previous killings and a little girl who had been killed who bore an eerie likeness to the little girl clown. Also in the sketchbooks are sketches of the clown. Their father had died a year earlier. That got me thinking that Art the Clown might be the father. I don’t know how true that is, but I guess we will see. I wouldn’t say it was a great movie, or a bad movie. It was fractionally better than the first one. Although it wasn’t hard to be better than the first one. It had more gory deaths/killings. If you have adverse reaction to gore and blood, this is not the movie for you. I’d give it 3 stars out of five. I don’t know that I’d ever watch it again.
