New Workout Bike - 11/15/24

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? Hopefully well. A couple months back I got a walking pad from Amazon. I figured I could walk for a good amount of time while watching shows instead of just sitting on the couch. Turns out I couldn't do too long because of my back pain. So after getting money for my birthday, I decided to get a workout bike. Kind of like a peloton but way more affordable. In fact, I got this one from Temu. I did get it from the "local warehouse" section which means it was shipped from the US. The bike did come in a lot of pieces and had to be put together. Eli helped me do that last night. The bike is very sturdy and seems to be worth the money. The only part I don't like is that the seat moves around, even if you tighten the thing that holds it in place. That's really my only complaint. I have to get used to riding it, and the fact that the seat moves before I can ride it at as long as I want. I figured I could start with 15-20 minutes a couple times a day and work my way up to an hour or more at a time. Hopefully it will help in losing some weight, I know I need to cut back on the calories I am eating too, but that probably won't happen until the new year - just being honest. Do you have a workout bike; Peloton or a different brand? Do you like this kind of workout? Photo via Temu.com

That's not something I'd buy from Temu. And, I've considered it. But We'd need to find the space, need to justify using it before wasting the money on it. Those things aren't cheep.

@MommyOfEli2013 I just don't trust budget websites like Temu and wish when they sell products like that. If it's valued at much more and costs even more then what they're selling to make. I'd be concerned about the safety and quality. If I wanted to buy a bike, I'd do my research and make sure it's from a brand I know and trust and have used before.

@kaylachan I understand. And I get that. But I couldn't afford one elsewhere. Even on Amazon they were double the price. I guess I got lucky and it's good quality

I don't know why, I think it is just as good as a bike I could get from Amazon, in fact seen the same bikes there for double the price. Sorry for not pleasing you with this.

I wish I had a workout bike myself even though about 30 years ago my relatives did own a stair walker for exercise.

Good for you and enjoy the bike. I had a stationary bike and took it with me to Latvia but then gave it away to a friend there instead of bringing it back,

Might take time before I enjoy lol. Just 5 minutes is a big workout for me. That's good you had one, sorry you didn't bring it back

I think Temu can be hit and miss, though in general I have had positive experiences

I bought a treadmill several years ago; but neither my husband nor I can use it because of back problems. Good luck with the bike. Have a good weekend.

I always wanted to have one, but I don't have one. It is very expensive and I can't afford it. I spend all the time at home.
