Open a window

November 15, 2024 2:30pm CST
In order to make sure your home is aired regularly, we are advised to keep a window open. Even when it is rather cold in the winter months, on the milder days I try to open a window or keep a door open. Fresh air prevents your home from becoming stuffy and stale. This home is in a rather sorry state of disrepair. What does make me chuckle when I drive past is the open window. Considering only 2 external walls remain, I am sure there is plenty of air circulating already. I hope you can see the amusing side to this post.

We do not have winter here so the door is always open, but the screen doors are closed. I cannot let in the mosquitoes.

We should do that once in a while, but we don't like the wind tunnel affect it causes sometimes. When we had cats, we kept them closed to prevent them from scratching screens.

Sometimes, when we see such a building, we call it a 'desirable summer residence'. Real estate agents are keen on using this term when they're selling houses. lol

The only time that the window is open is when there is no air conditioning inside. The reason the window stay closed is due to cats inside of the house getting out.
