Got a job at a private school, doing Student Support or Teacher Aide. Will start in January 2025. Yey!
Meanwhile, after my volunteer Work Placement at the school, I've come back to my Outside of School Care job this week. The OSHC children were so happy to see me, as I was happy to see them, too! I've come back after 16 days of placement.
One boy said, "I haven't seen you for 13-years!"
"Aw, I missed you, too, Sage. I'm so glad to see you, today!"
Well, the same boy did test my (and other's) patience. I was talking to another Educator, made sure Sage heard, "I was gonna give my popsicle to Sage, but he is giving me and the other kids a hard time."
"Sage, you're giving me a hard time doing my job in making sure EVERYONE is safe here."
But he knew that my expectations and perseverance of him as a, "really good, kind and happy boy" will eventually come out before the end of our OSHC hours.
And he did! And he won the Bluey Monopoly board game, too." Wow! You're Bluey-rich, Sage!"

@everwonderwhy I worry that the Blue Heeler breed is being popularized as a dog for everybody and especially for children. Heelers need strong human leaders. They need to be out and moving and since they are crazy intelligent they want to know everything and be taught everything. Heelers are bred to nip at things that run- like cows AND children and bikes. Heelers are wonderful dogs. I love my Rufus Heeler. I also call him a Biker Dude for a reason. If you are active, love to interact with dogs and expect them to do as you say and you know how to train, then get a Heeler. Be careful with children and often chickens and sometimes small dogs and cats.
