They say having too much salt in your diet is not healthy leading to high blood pressure, just one problem caused by having too much of that tasty spice. You've probably heard of this old-fashioned expression: “He/she is just not worth their salt.” However, salt is not all bad, it can be very helpful around your home.
Some questions for today...
*Do you use any of these salt ideas below for household chores? Or do you prefer to just use salt on food, lol.
*Can you think of any other ways to use salt for household chores not mentioned below?
*Do you know what that idiom “He/she is just not worth their salt” really means?
Here are some household uses for salt- How Many Did You Know or Use:
1. Gargling with saltwater helps relieve a sore throat.
2. Salt is a great stain absorber. If you spill wine on a tablecloth, pour salt on it immediately.
3. Have some brass that needs cleaning. Use a solution of salt and vinegar.
4. Salt on your fingers is a great way to avoid slipping when cleaning fish.
5. Want to kill those nasty weeds between stones, bricks or in your driveway. Use boiling salt water.
6. Are your smelly feet causing an odor in your sneakers. Sprinkle some on the inside of the shoes and wait a day before removing.
You can take these tips "with a grain of salt" or "salt away" these useful tips to try sometime...

@dgobucks226 It all makes sense to me. It's a desiccant after all. One other fun fact; salt makes sugar sweeter. Many people don't know that, but of course all sweets use salt.
