Dealing with a wife who consistently belittles, criticizes, and behaves in an emotionally damaging way can be incredibly difficult. What is the possible approach to responding or reacting in such a situation: Do you react differently at this stage or remain patient forever or making things worse

There are two types of murders. One, that involves blood or at the best, no breathing. Another, when the person's personality likes dislikes desires etc. are not given a chance to manifest...effectively treating the person as non existent human being. Men also do it, as do women.

1. The two maybe mismatch...they should part ways 2. The attitude / behavior of husband maybe such that others maybe polite not to criticize but in general the behavior is unusual and non conforming. For example a person tends to interfere in others business. That is mannerless. Right? So the wife maybe feeling awkward. Or the husband over drinks, or does not work, or gambles away the money etc. In such cases, parting ways will not help. Because the same story will repeat till the husband changes his ways. The solution is to change or endure. 3. The person may not be earning as much as the wife or have as much wealth as wife's folks have or be less qualified than other members of family either way....marriage counseling will help for sure as would attempts to increase earnings. Recent classic case of male abuse ...yes ...this is a form of abuse....is that of Kunal Kapoor, chef. Maybe you need to go through that case and see if you are in the same situation. If so, maybe that is the best solution for you.

Ouch! But one thing we can do is pray, and trust God, and at the same time, no matter how painful and ugly to hear this: we should change ourselves for the better, even if we think and know that your husband is the wrong one. Why, because no one can change us but ourselves only with the help of God, and that change in us will greatly affects the people around us. Hard, but God will surely win your husband for you.
