Big R is Giving Big Receipts: I Believe Big R Stands for Big Receipt

If you ever read a story about Big R going out of business, it will be because they spent too much money on receipt paper. Can you believe this is the receipt I got from one item? I joked on Facebook that if I'd have bought more stuff I would have to have rented a U-Haul to get the receipt home. For reals. I mean, all we bought was one 40 lb bag of dry cat food and our receipt was a mile long. My grocery receipt from Schnuck's had 30 items on it and was a third as long as my Big R one was. That poor cashier must spend a lot of time replacing receipt paper. Holy moly!

What the heck was on that receipt? Did it itemize and charge you for each cat food kibble ?

I think it glitched out. It had a bunch of tax codes. It was still funny to me when he handed it to me. lol

40 pounds of cat food is way too much. LOL. CVS receipts are like that too.

$24. These cats eat. We store it in a sealed container, and it will last us a very long time. lol

@porwest How many cats do you have? Two right? I guess they do. We got Rebel 50 pounds of food last month and she still has it. And she's a 50 pound pitbull

Some sort of tax codes. I imagine it was probably some sort of glitch, but at the same time, I also thought it was funny enough to post the receipt. lol
