It's NOT Monday!

I must be going out of my mind . Last night I had my usual so-so sleep. My mind was racing with what all I had to get done today. Monday. Hubby goes to work, kids go to school, I have my various errands and chores. I woke up to do my morning weekday routine. At last I poured hot water for our tea and wondered why Hubby was not getting up. And then it dawned on me . . . what day is today? Is it Monday . . . or is it actually Sunday ? Seriously, I didn't know . BRAIN FART! I immediately checked my phone and double checked the computer. It was indeed SUNDAY. Yay . I think I hear Hubby waking up . . . time for our weekend coffee ! Did you ever gain a day? Are you glad it's the weekend?

Welcome to my world ..... I always have to check the phone to see what day it is, to me everyday is Saturday but I've forgotten what Mondays were like back in the day.

One day it'll be that way for you as well. Just be glad you're still young for now.

Since I retired a little over a year ago, I have had some days when I had to check to make sure I knew what day it actually was. It happens. lol

I have a schedule to keep up everyday - so I was surprised how much of a doofus I was this morning. I probably didn't realize it for over an hour. But now I know tomorrow is Monday for sure .

I am glad to have "gained a day", but at the same time I lost a relaxing moment of a Sunday.

I get confused sometimes, especially since I'm retired and every day is a weekend. Have a good week.

I would love for every day to be a weekend! I think we have a long ways yet to get there though. Hope your December is going well - gosh I am so late in replying.

@grenery8 Thank you . Believe me - I understand the holiday blues. I was in that mode last month actually. Life is not always easy - and neither are the holidays sometimes. May we both get through the holidays and enjoy what we can . . . big hugs to you !

Luckily I still wake up early regardless what day it is. But still, I didn't have my relaxing weekend morning that day.

Yeah, but I generally don't get too far until I realize it isn't the day I thought it was. Although some days I have to remind myself of the day a few times

For whatever reason, I just had no clue for this morning. I would have made everyone mad if I woke them up as if it were a weekday .

If you are not doing much in a day it is possible you lose track of what day it is

I normally live by the clock, so I don't get what exactly happened. Yah, sometimes all the days can be a blur.

I have many days when I don't know what day it is. Being retired does that to me. I'm glad you figured out what day it was.

I have heard that about retirement. Right now because of our routines, I can at least differentiate weekends and weekdays - I just don't know what happened that particular day.

Oh gosh. Sometimes weather and such can make us feel that way too - and I might do that at the very end or beginning of a month.

I've done this a few times too. It's much worse when it's the other way round. You think it's Sunday but then discover it's Monday!
