Making coquito this morning

I first learned about coquito a couple of years ago while reading posts on Chowhound. It is a Puerto Rican kind of coconut egg nog served around the holidays. It caught my attention because I love both egg nog and *anything* coconut. While at my sister's house for Ravioli Day she actually had a bottle of coquito that a friend had made and given to her. We all tried it but no one liked it other than me. More for me! I make Alton Brown's aged egg nog recipe each year. I did that over a month ago and it has been "aging" in the fridge. This morning I'm making coquito for the first time. The recipe is simple and I already had all of the ingredients aside from sweetened condensed milk. This will be a nice little alternative to the egg nog. I won't drink it until after Thanksgiving. I don't decorate or do egg nog until AFTER Thanksgiving.

Sounds good to me! There’s a great tea at the Republic of Tea that tastes like a Mounds bar!

@NJChicaa — cocoanut cocoa cuppa chocolate. I bought a sack of 250 of them last order, that’s how much I like it.
