Good morning.

Well, today was a better morning, but that's because George slept in a little bit in our bed. Of course he fell asleep around two in the morning and woke himself around 4. So he didn't get to bed until about 4:30. George usually is up and about around 8:30 only to lie on the couch for a couple of hours. But today he woke up around ten, and he was self-aware enough to know he needed his morning meds. I mentioned going out this week to get laundry detergent, and of course he was like 'no, you can go by yourself' but I just have to coax him. He's always happier after we get back home and he's spent time off the couch.

I am glad he made it to the bed for a little while, anyway. I'm sure it does him good to get out of the house once in a while, you are right to coax him.

I have things to do today, so I'm going to wait. But, I've learned to give him a heads up early, and plant the seed so to speak.

@kaylachan That makes sense. He has to get used to the idea.

@MarieCoyle No different then he was working. When he first retired, I could say we need this or that and he'd be like 'okay'. Now because of how hard it is, he puts up a fight. I thought about ordering it from Walmart, but we use an off-brand of detergent. And, since thease are clothes we wear, I don't want to go back to a name brand, if I don't have to. Jim might think I'm pooring money away by ubering to a store we could almost walk to, (kind f not really) just to save some money on detergent making the cost of the trip more than the product itself, but it has the added benifit of getting George walking around in a similar controled space he's familiar with. And getting him out of the house. I don't want him wasting away on the couch and I am sure he doesn't either even if he feels it's easier.
