Parent conference tomorrow

This one has been in the works for almost a month now. The student and I had a rough beginning but have since improved our relationship. That being said she *just* squeaked by with a D for 1st marking period. It was difficult for her to adjust to having to pay attention, take notes, study, etc. (seriously most 10th graders don't know how to do that stuff) Anyway her mother has been flipping out on Guidance and wants her daughter moved to a different teacher. (aka "lateral move") Admin doesn't like to do that because they'd have hundreds of requests if students are struggling, don't like a teacher, etc. The official policy is that the parent has to come in for a conference first and after that then administration will decide what to do. I used to get nervous and worked up about this type of thing but these days I truly don't care. You don't want me? Fine. Try someone else. In any case it will get me out of bathroom duty tomorrow.
