Robert F Kennedy Jr has lots of strong (and many crazy) opinions on matters of health, nutrition, medicine, etc. He ran for president as a Democrat before switching to Independent and ultimately dropping out of the race to support Trump's candidacy. It was thought that there was some kind of deal made that would make RFK Jr. powerful in Trump's administration if he won. Well he did and has named him the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
RFK Jr. has railed against the use of seed oils (canola, sunflower, safflower) in processed foods. He described Trump's diet as "really bad" and the food served on his private plane as "poison". Literally last week he was on a podcast and said this: "The stuff that he eats is really, like, bad. The food that goes onto that airplane is like just poison. You have a choice between—you don't have the choice—you're either given KFC or Big Macs. That's when you're lucky and then the rest of the stuff I consider kind of inedible."
So what was he pictured with while on Trump's plane yesterday? A try of McDonalds food!--a Big Mac, chicken nuggets, fries, and a Coke. Also pictured were Trump, Elon Musk, and Don Jr. with their own trays of fast food. Don Jr. posted the pic with the caption "make America healthy again starts tomorrow!"
Did RFK Jr. actually eat that stuff? We don't know but my guess is yes. It is incredible to me how many people embarrass and beclown themselves to please Trump. Sean Spicer with the inauguration size lies, Chris Christie eating meatloaf, Kari Lake vacuuming a rug around a podium--oh I'm sure I could make a list of 50 of them but I can't be bothered to waste my time on that.
