Back up to 5 hours of homebound tutoring each week

It is interesting to me that so many people turn down $45.69/hour to do homebound tutoring when it is 100% virtual. There are 3 high schools in the district and all 3 guidance departments have me on "speed dial" so to speak when they need someone to do biology, forensic science, or earth science. I take them all. I have lots of free time and can certainly use the extra $$. I'm back to 5 hours each week at this point. At one point last year or 2 years ago I had 9 hours scheduled. Every little bit counts. Today I earned $91 (pre-tax). The cleaning lady was here today and I pay her $125. Okay so I made almost that this afternoon. Tomorrow I have 2 more hours so that will more than cover the rest. I say keep 'em coming. The more the merrier!

I don't think a lot of teachers have the time you do, or the patience. You get your fair share of no-shows, so it can feel like you're wasting your time.

Some people have enough teaching when the last bell rings, extra money or not.

That's great that you can do this to supplement your income. As you say, the more the merrier.
