I can smell the potatoes cooking down in the kitchen. I am a proud potato lover. Coming from the Famous Potatoes state of Idaho. The soup can be ruined so easily if you don't get the right amount of each ingredient. Of course, there can never be too much butter in my way of thinking. I taught my daughter to make it and she does a good job. We will have some warmed wheat buns with it. Do you like potato soup? Do you make it from scratch? The picture is from willcookforsmiles.com

I do like potato soup but I haven't made it for a while. Do you put bacon in yours?

I love anything potato-ey. As long as there are no onions. I can't cook anymore; so I don't make soup or anything else. Have a good day.

I wonder if you could make good use of a crock pot? Doesn't take much and you could sit while tossing in the ingredients.

It sure tasted good last night. My daughter had put just the right amount of each ingredient in it.

There are so many ways to make potato soup or chowder. I made it with mushrooms last week. Have a wonderful supper

We may try it with mushrooms next time. I have been wanting some and not able to think of a way to fix them.

That looks delicious. I do make it from scratch, if I have the recipe for it. I love potato soup.

i like potato soup, but i guess it's made differently here potatoes are sliced in little cubes, add onions, garlic, carrots and peppers if you want. and you boil it. of course, you add salt, pepper and other spices you want. it's more "watery" i guess. even after you add a little bit of flour and butter to it - it doesn't turn out too thick

Every culture probably has a different recipe for it. I like mine a bit thick like a chowder.

I like potato soup, but I am sure my version is quite different than most. I don't make it very often though, although I use potatoes in many of the soups I do make.
