I do have ARMD (Age Related Macular Degeneration) on one eye that blocks central vision on that eye I used to wear glasses for reading right from the age of 44. But now I do not need them any more. I take Lutein a supplement and wonder if that has helpled. I am a senior and have never known of any senior who once wore glasses and does not any more. Grateful that I can now read without glasses.

@allknowing it must have confused me somehow. I am multitasking here for a while okay, so the Lutein must have helped you.

I am pretty sure that Lutein is helping. Does ARMD still block your central vision. Mom had it in both eyes, she did not see well at the end of her life.

My ARMD is still there but it has not deteriorated. ARMD is incurable. But since it is only in one eye I have no problem.

@allknowing - I know there is no cure for ARMD, there are treatment that slow the progression of the disease. Mom had wet ARMD, she had Lucentis injections given directly into the eyes, one every three months. Her vision improved.

That's good news! I don't have 20/20 vision, and I own a pair of eyeglasses that I don't wear because they make me feel dizzy. Hehe
