We rarely but figs as they are not cheap. But we've found a couple of places that aren't too expensive and are trying them more often. I really like them. It's the combination of their unique texture when I bite into them and the lovely taste they have. I hope they are healthy too.

Interesting, I've never heard of that before. I'll have to do some research on it.

I've never eaten an actual fig, but a friend makes the yummiest fig preserves. I love them on toast.

I have always loved them both fresh and dry. Wild figs grow in our garden but nothing like those dry figs that one can buy

They are healthy. I add them to smoothies. I can't eat them because they are very dry. Here only dried figs can be found.

I've also only seen the dried ones. I tried making a smoothie, but the blender didn't like it!

I love fresh figs but I'm not that crazy about dried figs. I lived somewhere that had a 40 yr old fig tree and I would spend hours outside every day picking and eating the figs from the tree. The only other time I've had fresh figs were at fancy restaurants. They aren't something I see in grocery stores, unfortunately.
