When I was younger(20 years younger)I was into Metallica, Megadeath, Overkill. If I hear any of there music today on the radio I will still listen. Brings back memories.

well,i would definetely say that metallica was the heavy metal band,but they did loose there edge in the past 10 years,the best bands would be trivium and slipknot..!!!

how about megadeath, metallica, queensryche, pantera, WASP, disturbed, tool, iron maiden, alice in chains, annihilator,& DIO. just too name a few.

Well you didnt mention what sort of metal..Anyways i really dig The Agony Scene and The Black Dahlia Murder. System of a Down is one of my favorites too if u consider them as metal that is.

well I personaly think that heavy metal sucks...cuz it has no other messages then fantasy...(moast of 'em)...it's all fairy tails and what "look at me, what a cool guy I am" and the whole leather thing is just ridiculous...anyway...you wanna hear some good quality music...get into hardcore and yo'll see the difference of quality and reality...;)...I ment no offence by sayin that heavy metal sucks...it's just my opinion and I don't wanna influence anybody...I don't care about who listens to what kinda music...everybody likes whatever...it's a personal choice...ok...I statet my opinion...peace out...and rock on...

Metallica is one of my favorites..I also love,Disturbed and Korn.Back in the 90's,I was a huge skid row fan.I kinda outgrew those guys..lol

black sabbath...cauz they invented heavy metal...in terms of the theme of metal...the riffs...the style.
