I watched Pulse. It was the 2006 version. It is a remake of the previous movie. I watched it on Tubi. It has Kristen Bell, Rick Gonzalez, Christina Milian, Ian Somerhalder, Jonathan Tucker, Octavia Spencer, Ron Rifkin, and Joseph Gatt in it. Big Warning: there is suicide. Note: I watched to watch these Pulse movies because I had seen a true crime video about two boys who used the excuse of seeing the movie Pulse in a theater back in 2006. I looked up the movie and it looked interesting. This 2006 version is basically the same as the 2001 Japanese version, but it makes more sense. Semi Spoiler below. In this movie, a guy named Josh is a computer hacker. Mattie is his girlfriend and is going to an university. She gets worried about him so she goes to check on him. Like the 2001 version, he commits suicide. She wants to try to find out what caused him to do that. She learns the landlady sold his computer to a guy. Meanwhile, her best friend and others around her die. The guy who got Josh's computer find out that Josh left video files on his computer. They watch the video files. Josh says he hacked into another guy's computer and found some frequencies that releases a spirit who takes a part of you. The guy tries to use a virus Josh created, but it doesn't work. They find the guy Josh hacked and he said to try the virus at the university. They do, but it doesn't work as planned. They try to escape and barely do. They drive into the sunset. I liked this movie. I'm watching Pulse 2: Afterlife.
