How can I convince my mom to give up on Naphthalene?

I have a very stubborn mom. She uses Naphthalene mothballs. She had moths and they ruined her clothes. She seems to love clothes more than her life. She sleeps in a room where she uses Naphthalene. The smell makes me sick. I have 3 cats and I am worried that the smell can affect them too. She put two bags in my dad's room. My dad is an alcoholic. Today I read in the news that people can die if they drink a lot and inhale Naphthalene. The smell can be felt in all our house and is toxic. I opened the windows, but the smell didn't disappear. So I don't know what to do.
I had a conflict with my mom. I showed her what articles I read. Even on the label it says that it can increase cancer risk and is toxic when it's inhaled. Those bags are very cheap and she doesn't want to spend more on something safe. My cat had seizures before she bought that substance. And my mom can't understand that it's toxic. I live with her, my dad and my cats. People died because of that substance. And she refuses to accept this. Her clothes are more important than our lives. I can't believe that she can't understand even if I explained. And I can feel that toxic smell in the house. It is harming me and I can't do anything to stop her. She wants me to buy something for moths. But why should I buy something if I don't have money? Why can't she understand that the smell is so toxic and my dad or us can be poisoned? He drinks a lot and he doesn't even realize that he has that awful smell in his room. I think it's a risk for us and our cats.
