Kitty is sniffing my tomato plants. Do you wonder what your animal friends think about?

Kitty just strolled outside and sniffed my tomato plants. She did so for about 15 seconds, shifting her sniffing angle left to right. I wonder what she was thinking. She sees me water them every day. So she must know they're "special." Is she making sure they're not potential rivals? Is she hoping they're catnip? Does she just like the smell? Now she has moved to her current favorite spot, right where I have to walk to get to the kitchen. She knows I still have tuna in there. Do you wonder what your animals think about?

No, I know what they think about. CATS: “I will dominate you.” DOGS: “Can I have a belly rub?” BOTH: “Feed me.”

I often wonder what my cat (and also the one of my neighbors) are thinking. Often kitty comes inside, starts to sniff around for a while and then leaves.

@LadyDuck Kitty is being a pain in the neck this morning, walking slowly in front of me and then stopping.

I think she has experienced the other stuff. Her "uncle" downstairs is a bit of a stoner.

No pets here. Yet psychology of one pet never matches that of other. May be Kitty is waiting for the Tomatoes to grow up. Or perhaps she doesn't likes the Tomatoes! I think pets have their comfort zones similar to us humans.

I have no idea if she even knows what tomatoes are but I do know that back in Latvia when we filled a box with our harvest of tomatoes our cat Sid would get in the box with the tomatoes and sleep there

I know my dogs used to think about 3 things: attention, food and play. Have a great day.

Maybe he wants to know what the smell is there... if it's better than tuna, he'll definitely eat it, the cat will devour it.
