We need folks like police for those just in case times. Still, like most folks, police kind of give me the creeps. Just like when I was in school- I was not friends with the principal. He or she stayed in the office and I was a happier camper. We're having a little building built in our back yard. Hubby has dreams of some day renting it out- like a small apartment. This morning a man showed up at my front door. He said he was from the city. A code inspector. He wanted to know what the building was back there?? Was it 200 foot or larger? My answer: its a shed and no its not 200 foot or larger. He said okay, gave me his business card and left. I felt like a liar. Hubby came down and said I was right. The building is 196 foot not 200 so technically its kosher. He wants to put in a composting toilet and a sink but we're not telling the city that. I don't want to know how much the city would have charged us for a permit. I'm glad the guy went peaceably away.

I agree with Amber. If cops took more care about violence and less about people who want to live a peaceful life, the world would be better.

I guess you squeaked by with that one.I am sure most police are nice people, but they give me the heebie jeenies, especially if they are following my car.

It's good if you can stay just within the law. We erected an outdoor toilet on our farm when we had the music concerts there. We did that without the council's knowledge.
