Polls for fun and, Why I Really Think People Voted for Rump

I think that many people vote for someone new and different. If they are unhappy in their lives they feel something bizarre and shocking could possibly fix them for a while. I also think a lot of people voted for the showman and paid little or no attention to politics or, what the country needed. Also, there are way too many extremists now that Rump has made feel more comfortable coming out and showing themselves. People who want to defy and go against government norms are more apt to vote for such as Rump. And, lastly, I am glad to see that many who voted for Rump are now feeling remorse and wish they hadn't. Below are some polls just for fun. After the election a poll was done asking 1,941 US adults and they were surprised by the final outcome. 54% of the people in the poll were quite surprised by the outcome. 14% were very surprised, 33% were not very surprised and, 16% were not surprised at all. 43% of Republicans were surprised at the outcome. 23% percent weren't surprised. Do you think your neighbor voted for Rump? 74% of Republicans polled believe their neighbor did. 78% of Americans feel he is more powerful now than in 2016. I agree and that really is scary. Your thoughts.

I think a lot of why they voted for him has to do with the economy. And another poll said that 54% of people thought transgender issues had gone too far. Asking people struggling to make ends meet to pay for gender alteration surgery and the student loans of people making $150,000 a year just doesn’t go over well with them. I can’t stand him or his extremist policies, but I do believe it all comes down to the “average person” being asked to have too much of their money spent on things they vehemently disagree with.

Oh, yes indeed. The economy is on everyone's mind. They don't realize a good percentage of the reason for the higher prices is right in the store. I can't stand him--PERIOD!

I agree that he's more powerful now more than ever. But, remeber this, this is the last term he'll ever do. This is his second and final. So, just four more years. Then you'll have two more canidates to fight for the white house. And, maybe Haris will actually run and be voted in as the democratic nominee instead of it being thrust in her lap. Or, maybe she'll go on to do something else. We'll find out in 2028.

With the hatred being shown toward women right now I don't know if a woman will be elected that soon. Yes, 2028 will be interesting.

I think many thought he had no chance of winning so didn't go vote.

I have long contended that Liberals shot themselves in the foot with BS like "We Are Trayvon," "De-fund the Police" and the removal of statues of people like Robert E. Lee.

@celticeagle I can almost see why uneducated white people would vote for Trump. I saw this kind of "reaction" happening years ago. I abhor political correctness.

I think I will be doing that for a long time to come too. But, other things are raising their ugly heads.
