I showed you the exterior of Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) in Romania yesterday. I said it was vary sparse and boring on the inside.
These photos were taken by me of Peles Castle on the way from Bucharest to Transylvania. It's in Sinaia, Romania. It was built for King Carol.
It was very ornate inside. The chandelier pictured here is an original dating back two hundred years and is made from Murano glass imported from Italy.
Now look at the ornate mirror. We were told by our guide that all of the mirrors in the castle are original as well. They are in pristine shape and haven't oxidized.
It was a wonderful side-tour worth taking.

How cool, especially when you consider that a lot of those older castles have a dampness to them that would encourage oxidation. You go to so many cool places!

Wow! It looks like Versailles. Have you ever been there? Have a good day.

Wow! That's breathtaking. Such a beautiful and intricate work. And it's interesting to know that this one is two centuries old. Definitely worth for seeing it in person.
